This year’s Superbowl Champion will be decided at NRG Stadium (formerly Reliant Park), a multi-purpose stadium in Houston with a seating capacity of nearly 72,000 people. It’s serves as the home of the NFL’s Houston Texans, as well as the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, the Texas Bowl, numerous international soccer matches and other events.

This isn’t NRG’s first rodeo, either – after it was completed in 2002, NRG was awarded the host of Superbowl XXXVIII in February of 2004.

Many special events and festivities will be held throughout Houston for this year’s edition, including the NFL Experience and the Super Bowl City Village, featuring activities for fans of all ages, as well as art, food, drinks and live entertainment.

The 24th edition of NFL Experience invites fans to celebrate Super Bowl history and kick-off Super Bowl LI in the heart of downtown Houston at the George R. Brown Convention Center. The event will be open to the public from Saturday, January 28 to Sunday, January 29 and Wednesday, February 1 to Sunday, February 5.

All-new and exclusive the Superbowl LI, the pre-game festivities will include Future Flight as its “WOW” Factor, unveiled by the Houston Super Bowl Host Committee at the 2016 Space Commerce Conference and Exposition (SpaceCom). Future Flight features a virtual reality experience and numerous hands-on space exhibits, sharing the incredible journey to Mars and beyond with guests.
